He Came to Die
He came in grace and lowliness He came from heaven high He came in love and holiness And yet, He came to die.
November 23rd – Jesus
Dear Father, thank You for Jesus. Thank You for Your heart of radical, unlimited, unconditional love. Thank You for Your desire to save. Thank You for providing the Lamb for sacrifice.
November 22nd – Sisters
Three girls – more dear to me than I can say. My childhood playmates, companions in adventures, and best friends.
November 15th – Redemption
“In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins”. The longer I live, the more I see of my own sinful heart. The more I know Him, the more I see His holiness and goodness.
November 12th – My Church
I love that the core of this church is the gospel. It’s Jesus – and what He has done to reconcile us to our Maker.
November 11th – Story
Stories carry meaning. They press upon our hearts, leading us to ideas, beliefs, decisions. They shape our character. I’m thankful for good stories.
November 9th – Victory
Thank You, Jesus, that You have won. You ruined the kingdom of darkness with the light of Your unmatched love. Your blood was poured out, atoning for the evil of a race; atoning for the evil of my heart.
November 8th – Chipper
So many times, his blue eyes, his soft, velvety nose, his tall ears and little paws told my heart what I struggled to feel – the love and goodness of my Creator.
November 7th – Here
While I was away, I was homesick for here. And now that I’m home, I’m missing my home afar. And in this season of change and sameness, my heart wants to complain a bit. So I’ll remind my soul:
November 2 – Work
Thank You for work, Lord. Thank You for responsibility, and dependency.
