November 9th – Victory
Thank You, Jesus, that You have won.
You ruined the kingdom of darkness with the light of Your unmatchable love.
Your blood was poured out, atoning for the evil of a race; atoning for the evil of my heart.
My sin and sinfulness were nailed to Your cross.
My punishment, poured out on You.
When You died for me, I died with You.
Your burial was mine – no longer do I live as a hell-bound, sin-held creature.
When resurrection air filled Your lungs, Jesus, You broke forever the curse of Eden.
Death has no hold on You – and it has no hold on me.
You completed the payment – nothing now remains of my unpayable debt.
As King of all You took the throne again, and You will reign forever and ever.
I, once captive to sin, now owe it nothing.
My allegiance is only to You, my Redeemer.
I owe You everything, and joyfully I give it.
You have given me Yourself – and that is everything.
Your very Spirit lives in me.
I have Your heart, Your mind, Your life.
You are in me, and I am hidden in You.
And if I am in You, then Your victory extends to me.
Thank You, Jesus, that You are the victorious King.
And thank You for winning in me.
