November 12th – My Church
I’m thankful for my church.
I don’t know most of the people very well yet.
And I know that, as with any compilation of humans, there are differences, disagreements, and failings.
But I love that the core of this church is the gospel. It’s Jesus – and what He has done to reconcile us to our Maker.
His Word is the guide and authority, His love the bonding strength, and His kingdom and glory the goal.
We’re blood-bought. And that is a precious truth.
It has blessed my heart so, being there.
The ever-central gospel has been brought into clearer focus, and breathed hope and life into my battle-weary heart.
I’m thankful for the pastors, faithfully shepherding and proclaiming truth.
This local part of the bride of Christ – I’m so glad I get to call them family.
Thank You, faithful Father, for letting me be part of this church.
