November 20th – Seasons

I’m thankful for seasons.

For days of golden glory, and months of cold and gray.

For brilliant, fading autumns, and fresh-born life of spring.

For growing in the rain, and working in the sun.

For each new morning’s hope, and every evening’s evidence of the Master’s faithfulness.

For times of steady labor, trusting for the reward unseen.

For the joy of harvest – seeds planted, tended, and grown, coming to fruition.

For refining fire – until the gold is purified.

For the gentle meadows, restoring my soul.

For blessings overflowing.

For trials increased.

For my faithful Lord.

Seasons come and go, following their order.

There is beauty in each, and treasures to be found if we will search.

This season will not last forever – and when a new one comes, I hope I will embrace it heartily, knowing that the Lord of seasons intends my good in each.

Thank You, Father, for this season. Grow me in the light of Your presence.
