November 13th – Blue Sky

I love that the sky is blue.

It could’ve been any color – green, yellow, pink, white, black – but it’s blue, and to my eye, there is hardly a more beautiful hue.

Even for those who don’t love blue as I do, it is a pleasing color, and well-suited to every season’s unique palette and landscape.

It’s bright, but not garish.

It is at once gentle and invigorating, calm and inspiring.

As normal as breathing, and yet intensely beautiful. 

And no matter where you go in this wide world, you will always be under the vast dome of azure.

You can’t always see it. But it’s always there.

And there’s a comfort in that.

Some things are the same, for all peoples, nations, lands and times.

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for the blue sky above. It’s so very beautiful.
